look, another mealtime distraction
and my goodness *surprise*surprise*
it's actually not a shape sorter!
(do you think they've cottoned on that i've cottoned on?!)
anyway, it's a fisher price gumball surprise machine
which has these four roller balls
that roll out when the lever is pressed
while some amusing music sounds
i am getting rather good at it these days
beause it's the second time the folks have borrowed it from the toy library
(do you think this is equivalent to the crime of borrowing the same library book
twice and, adding insult to injury within the space of only four weeks??!)
i tell you, what with all this extra practice i've been afforded
i can press the lever four times in very quick succession
and all the balls roll out, a little too quickly, one after another
causing mass scrabbling about for the balls
as they roll all over the floor
well, i think it's good payback for them thinking i don't remember toys!

this time it's a fisher price cookie jar shape sorter
i am beginning to suspect
that the folks have made a secret pact
with Australia Post for some future
mail-sorting child slave labour night shift job

i am becoming a right multi-tasker these days
i cannot seem to concentrate on sitting passively whilst being fed
instead i tend to need some kind of
stimulation or distraction from the very act of eating itself
so mama and papa have to resort to all sorts of 'bribes'
such as activities or books
one such example is this
little tikes US postal mailbox shape sorter
again from the toy library (what a saviour, mama says)
anyway i seem to be bombarded with
shape-sorting-type toys lately
you keep an eye on the blog and you will see what i mean...

look what papa and mama borrowed this time round
a fisher price laugh and learn piggy bank
apparently learning to count
and inculcating a habit of saving
is good for the future
but how come that does not seem to apply
to saving my food for some other time instead???!

wah! i'm rich! i'm rich! can we go spending now?

mama got me a preloved Bobike Mini bike seat off ebay
for my first birthday pressie
and papa got me a small fry (that's what they call it) bike helmet


but i tend to dislike wearing things on my head
so they tried putting a beanie under the helmet
so that it's a little more comfortable for me


i am now enjoying upfront bike rides
with mama's arms around me
and papa running to catch up alongside!

please could we have a referendum
as to whether
i need a haircut or not?????

i had my

the other day
