a blessed Christmas to one and all

wishing all of you
a Christmas season
filled with much
hope, peace, joy and love
and as we head
into the new year
a yearful of
bountiful
blessings

it's beginning to look a lot like christmas

and this is our nativity set up at home
waiting patiently for the arrival
of baby jesus on the twenty-fifth...
so in the meantime
i have great fun displacing mary and joseph from the manger
prefering to garage my cars and trucks in there
sometimes i even make mary drive the little green tractor
what with feminism and all...
i am a right cheeky sod!

bump by request

dear aunty steph
you know how
mummy feels
about sharing
silhouettes
of her
big bump
with anyone out there
so i was persuaded
to do a
stand-in for her...
you like???!

actually silly daddy
stuffed beanbags
up my torso
and we had a
right hoot
giggling and drooling
and pretending to be
gridiron players!

who's (not) been sleeping in my bed?

when papa bear
came home
today
he was surprised
to find
baby bear's bed
empty
so where was
baby bear?
hibernating after migration
across the great divide
onto papa and mama bear's bed...
(somehow with his sleeping bag on!)

i've got a ticket to ride

mama took me
on an outing today
i had a great time
riding the big train
into the city
and then she
took me to the
santaland express
at the myer department store
(only cause it's free)
for a little train ride

here i am
waiting to board
with my ticket

and then more
waiting patiently with trepidation
behind my friend erin
who was more
enthusiastic about
it than i was
and we are off...
hmmmm...
into santa's gaping
tunnel of a mouth

oooh made it!
controlling
the urge
to bust out
of the
emergency
exit
notice my
fists are all clenched

all done now
can we go please please?
i much prefer
the regular big trains
where i can
hold mummy's hand
as i ride excitedly
and watch the
scenery whizz by
whilst providing
a non-stop running
commentary on all
the vehicles i see
zooming on the freeway
