i've got a ticket to ride

mama took me
on an outing today
i had a great time
riding the big train
into the city
and then she
took me to the
santaland express
at the myer department store
(only cause it's free)
for a little train ride

here i am
waiting to board
with my ticket

and then more
waiting patiently with trepidation
behind my friend erin
who was more
enthusiastic about
it than i was

and we are off...
hmmmm...
into santa's gaping
tunnel of a mouth

oooh made it!
controlling
the urge
to bust out
of the
emergency
exit
notice my
fists are all clenched

all done now
can we go please please?
i much prefer
the regular big trains
where i can
hold mummy's hand
as i ride excitedly
and watch the
scenery whizz by
whilst providing
a non-stop running
commentary on all
the vehicles i see
zooming on the freeway
