i really surprised mama and papa whilst picnicking by the beach yesterday evening
by putting the finishing touches to some nursery rhymes
a bit of a worry for them now now that they know i know a lot more than i let on...
(i believe in releasing information on a need-to-know basis only - slowly, slowly...)

pet and sit on

lord of creativity

mama has been getting into the swing of craftiness lately
and she's started encouraging my creativity with playdough
these sessions have taught us both one thing
that i am good at giving orders to make things
roly-poly means she has to roll the dough with the rolling pin
and balls mean please i need more balls pronto
such is the brilliant life of a toddler-in-charge hey?!

present perfect

mama gave me my minor birthday present after i woke up from my afternoon nap
i tell you i am good at checking out the packaging to make sure i have not been fooled
it's another pre-loved toy from ebay - a fisher price ramps around garage
i think she is just too lazy to get out my real present from under the bed...

speed demon

we borrowed the rollercoaster again!
as you can see i've graduated from the green green (slower) grass
and moved on to the bigger and faster world of bricks...
woooooo hooooooo!

exactly 700+30 days of life today!

i had a lovely celebration at my godparents
godma cooked a delicious meal
mama crafted me a car cake
my winter wardrobe has been furnished by my godparents
my grandparents are in my thoughts and words each day
i am vibrantly alive, alert, chatty, happy, healthy, cherished
and we are all so grateful for this ovewhelming heart-bursting joy and love.

summer is such a lovely time of the year - despite the heat and flies
all that sunshine, warmth and fresh air
proves too perfect an excuse for (nudie) pool parties
and boy do i make a good host at these soirees...
the ones who bravely took the starkers plunge are

today i had a hankering for ice cream
after seeing a picture of it in one of my books
so i pestered and pestered the folks for one
i tell you what - all that chanting of ice-cream ice-cream must have paid off
because this landed in my eager little hands after dinner
oh the sheer pleasure on my face was priceless
and apparently made all the more so as i was seemingly oblivious
to the fact that it was actually one of
mama's homemade frozen berry yoghurt icy-poles...
