300 (yet nary a six-pack in sight...)

wow!
mama never imagined

she would get to
post my
300th blog
when she first started
this
electronic journal of sorts
(her self-imposed
alternative therapy
for alleviating severe
post-natal depression)

to help her highlight
the exclamation points
of each day
as she
journeys along
this wondrous path

of parenthood.
she especially likes this picture because it appeals to her vanity -
she feels that
she looks more like my sister than my mother here
but if you look really, really closely
you should be able to spot a few nemesis grey hairs
of which papa and i are no doubt the cause..

It's true you could definitely pass off as James' sister in this photo. In fact he is looking rather mature ;)

Was reflecting abt it....in some ways Motherhood makes us young again cos it brings out our inner child as we try to go down to our child's level and understand them and we rediscover the wonders of the toy shop together with them and we remember bits of our childhood, stuff we used to do, games we played and we sing once again nursery rhymes which somehow comes out of our subconsiousness.....and we have difficulty having adult conversations, wanting to talk baby stuff etc ;)
It's the lack of sleep sometimes giving us panda eyes and how they constantly test our authority that makes us show our true age I think ;) But it's wonderful u r looking so young n youthful despite it all, such a yummy mummy !
